The Florrie has proudly taken over The Pride of Sefton, an independent charity and wide beam community canal boat that is helping open up Liverpool’s historic waterways to people and our community. Now fully part of The Florrie family, the boat has been transformed into a floating classroom and creative space for young people, families, and community groups across the city.
To celebrate the launch, we are opening the boat to the public during the October half term.
Join us on Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th, and Wednesday 29th October from 4–7 PM at Salthouse Dock (in front of the Albert Dock) to step aboard, meet the team, and find out more about what we do. There is no need to book, just pop along and explore. If you are visiting the River of Light festival, why not stop by and see The Pride of Sefton in all its glory?
As part of our half-term celebrations, we are also running two special free canal trips for young people and families:
- Tuesday, 1–3 PM: Young People’s Trip (ages 7–12, no parents)
- Wednesday, 1–3 PM: Family Trip (parents and siblings welcome)
Spaces are very limited, so make sure to book your place early by emailing info@theflorrie.org
