The Florrie are organising a ‘play and eat’ scheme for 5-11yr olds during the summer holidays.
Dear Friends of The Florrie,
‘Holiday Hunger’ is a real issue for many children who are entitled to free school meals during term time, but there is currently no such provision during holidays and for many families finding the money to provide extra meals every day is a huge financial burden and stress.
The Florrie are organising a ‘play and eat’ scheme for 5-11yr olds during the summer holidays and would like your support in helping to provide free nutritious lunch meals to local children. We have a collection point in our reception for any dry food donations, cereal, tins, pasta etc.
You can drop off anytime between 8am-6pm or on your way to or from work or the shops. We will also be collecting any extra food items in Tesco Park Road on Thursday July 5th.
We appreciate anything you can spare. Thanks for your support. No child should go hungry.
